The social media tactical community loves to say, “Get fit or die”. There’s some merit to that but in reality it’s “Seek Christ and repent or die” but I digress.

It’s true that in order to perform at a moments notice and to have the physical capacity for it. In short, you need to be fit.

Starting my journey into tactical training, I’ve realized that being fit isn’t just about looking good—it’s about being ready for anything at any time. Whether it’s a drill or a real-life situation, being strong, enduring, agile, and flexible makes all the difference. These qualities help me handle gear, move quickly, and stay calm under pressure.

For example, Exodus 22:2-3 mentions that if a thief breaks in at night and gets struck, the homeowner isn’t guilty of bloodshed. This suggests that defending yourself and your family is okay in certain situations.

Jesus also told his followers to be smart. In Matthew 10:16, He says to be “shrewd as snakes and innocent as doves.” This means being prepared for danger while still having a kind heart.

Christ also told His disciples to arm themselves in Luke 22:36 by saying “to buy a sword”.
